Happy New Year to all of our ZONC members and their families! I hope that you enjoyed your holidays and had a chance to relax and get ready for the New Year to begin. Having been the Vice President for the past 2 years, it has given me an opportunity to work with many wonderful people in the ZONC organization, and I would like to thank everyone that has helped continue our quest to be the best Z club in Northern California. I have accepted the position of President for 2018 and I am looking forward to continuing our mission.
Thank you to everyone that made this possible. Jason will be our Vice President, Ann will continue as Secretary, Wade will continue as Treasurer and I welcome Andrea as our new VP of Admin and want to thank Christy for all of her years of being our VP of Admin. Also, thanks to Bob for always getting our ZNews to press and making it very informative and fun, and to Peter for printing the hard copies for a few of our members. On December 9, we had our annual Holiday event at the Stars Recreation Center in Vacaville. We had a terrific turnout with about 35 people and many beautiful cars. We had a table full of toys that were brought in by our members and donated to the Vacaville Police Department to be distributed to the needy kids. Little did we know that there was also a car show being held in the Stars Recreation Center back parking area. Several ZONC members expressed interest in possibly having our next car show at this venue since the location seems to be fairly centralized. We will definitely consider this when we have our planning meeting on January 13th. This year has many opportunities for fun runs, show and shine events, our annual car show and some special surprises to be announced soon. If you have any ideas, recommendations, suggestions or anything else you’d like us to consider, please don’t hesitate to let me know. If you are thinking of a last minute run, those are also fun and don’t have to be an all day event.
